Founded in 2009, Joby Aviation is developing an electric vertical take-off and landing (eVTOL) aircraft designed to quietly transport a pilot and four passengers up to 150 miles while producing zero operating emissions. The company went public in 2021 and is targeting its first commercial passenger service in Dubai in late 2026, with early U.S. operations to follow through the White House-backed eVTOL Integration Pilot Program. In 2025, Joby’s test aircraft completed more than 850 flights, and the company has cleared Stage 4 of the FAA’s five-stage type certification process.

"We invested in Joby because we believed electric aviation would fundamentally change urban transportation. With FAA certification achieved and commercial launch underway in Dubai, that conviction has become reality."

“People waste billions of hours sitting on roads worldwide each year. We envision a future where commuting by eVTOL is a safer, faster, and cost-competitive alternative to ground transportation. We have spent the last ten years developing the technologies that have made our full-scale technical demonstrator possible and are now ready to build a commercial version of the aircraft."
